I'm a MySQL guy working on a SQL Server project, trying to get a datetime field to show the current time. In MySQL I'd use NOW() but it isn't accepting that. INSERT INTO timelog (datetime_filed) ... The only date/time function I can find is Now() and searches relative to that, i.e. "-1d", "-4d" etc. The only problem with this is that Now () is time specific so there is no way of getting a particular day's created issues. DateTime.Now gives the date and time as it would appear to someone in your current locale. I'd recommend using DateTime.Now whenever you're displaying a date to a human being - that way they're comfortable with the value they see - it's something that they can easily compare to what they see on their watch or clock.
