The 2026 Johannesburg City Marathon took place Sunday, 22 March 2026 from 06h00 at the Klipriviersberg Recreation Centre, Kibler Park in Johannesburg, Gauteng. Distances included a 42.2km, 21.1km and 10km races. The marathon is a long-distance foot race with a distance of 42.195 kilometres (c. 26 mi 385 yd), [1] usually run as a road race, but the distance can be covered on trail routes. The marathon can be completed by running or with a run/walk strategy. There are also wheelchair divisions. The event, organised by the Johannesburg Harriers Athletics Club, will take place at Klipriviersberg Recreation Centre in Kibler Park and includes a 42.2km marathon, 21.1km half marathon and a 10km race.
