Fingerhut Goodwill removal Please no rude answers... I had a charge card with Fingerhut with a $700 limit that I opened in June 2018. I experienced difficulties making timely payments, and by mid-2018, the account had multiple late payments—30, 60, and 90 days past due. Eventually, the account was charged off in September 2019 for $270. Fingerhut fraud I had an alert from Experian showing a hard pull for today for fingerhut. Someone got my identity and opened up an account and charged $580.97 worth of junk. If you want to put in the time and effort to do what I did, it resulted in the successful removal of Fingerhut from all 3 credit bureaus. So I opened my Fingerhut account shortly after my BK, and have never used it. Now that I'm a year and 4 months post DC, I don't want to close it, as having the 500cl unused is helping my scores. The reason for the letter is because Fingerhut is scaling it's operations down. They're eliminating the option for purchases using the accounts mentioned in the letter.
